Intracity Bus Guide

  • There are five types of buses operating in Sejong: BRT (wide-area/intracity), wide-area buses, main line buses, branch line buses, and village buses.
  • The bus fare for traveling within the city boundary is charged at a flat rate of 1,200 won (1,150 won for transportation card users). Passengers can transfer between intracity buses up to 3 times within 60 minutes of getting off the bus.
  • The main line buses connect the major transfer points (eup, myeon, dong), the branch line buses connect the major transfer points in the villages, and the village buses are in operation in 38 villages (i.e. eups and myeons)

  • Description: Base fare of 1,200 won applicable throughout Sejong Special Self-Governing City

Transfers between Sejong – Daejeon

  • 655, 990, 1000, 1004
    • If the fares vary between the two transportation modes, the difference will be added to the total fare.
Time limit/frequency
  • Can transfer up to 3 times, free-of-charge, within 60 minutes of getting off
  • Cannot transfer between buses with the same number

    (However, in the case of buses 201~204, you can transfer to the bus with the same number at the departure point or bus terminus)

Other information
  • One transportation card can be used for transfers for only one person

    (That is, if you pay the bus fare for two people using a single transportation card, only one person will be able to transfer for free.)

  • You must tag your card when you get on and off the bus in order to transfer to another transportation mode for free.
